Care
Hosting and care plans
A website is not furniture. The things around it keep moving - browsers, certificates, the software underneath, the businesses you connect to - and a site nobody maintains stops working quietly rather than loudly. This is what keeps it working, and who answers when it does not.

Hosting that is genuinely fast
Served from the edge, close to whoever is asking for it, with a certificate that renews itself. Not a cheap shared server three states away with four hundred other sites on it.
Instant rollback
If an update breaks something, the previous version is back live in under a minute. That is a property of how the site is deployed rather than a promise to work quickly under pressure.
Watched from outside
Checked every few minutes from somewhere that is not us, because a site reporting on its own health is a night watchman asleep at the desk. If it stops answering, we find out before you do.
Security and dependency updates
The software a site sits on gets patched. Left alone for a year, it becomes the easiest way in - and the overwhelming majority of small business sites that get defaced were simply out of date.
Small changes included
Text, prices, photos, opening hours, a new team member. Send them over rather than working out how to do it yourself at nine in the evening.
A person who answers
The same person who built it. Not a ticket queue, and not somebody junior reading from a runbook written by whoever left last.
What this does not cover
- Advertising and campaign management of any kind
- Substantial new features or a redesign, which are quoted as projects rather than absorbed into a monthly plan
- Third-party subscriptions you hold directly, such as a domain, a booking tool or stock photography
Questions
- What are the tiers?
- Three, from $95 to $250 a month, and the full breakdown is on the pricing page. The short version: Essential keeps the site up and current, Growth keeps it changing as the business does, and Care+ is for a site or application doing real work every day.
- Do I have to take a care plan?
- No. The site is yours and you can host it yourself or with anyone else. What you give up is the monitoring, the updates and the person who answers, which is a perfectly reasonable trade right up until the morning something breaks.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, month to month, and you keep the site. Leaving means pointing your domain somewhere else rather than negotiating a release with anybody.
- What happens if the site goes down at two in the morning?
- Monitoring notices and an alert fires. Whether it is fixed at two in the morning depends on what broke and which plan you are on. This business runs alongside a full-time job, which is said plainly here rather than dressed up as round-the-clock support.
- Are there backups?
- The site itself lives in version control, so any previous version can be put back live. Where there is a database behind it, Atlas takes an automatic daily snapshot that cannot be switched off, so the data can be restored as well as the code.
